The death of three good friends, being what I considered a "reluctant entrepreneur", and facing my very real retirement options. It has been a very real couple of weeks, but today's devotional gave me purpose and I hope it gives you purpose too.

Preacher's Kids: The Untold Stories is a stage play that I was happy to see, but even happier to participate in. Laughing was a requirement when acting on stage with my special guest and creator of Preacher's Kids, Alvin Daniels. You should make an appointment with your funny bone and see or hear for yourself why laughter is required for everyday life.

As men, we hear the phrase "get it together" so often that it is engrained in the psyche of every man. The reality of having it all together is so unreachable for men, and to our own destruction we silently believe that we should have it together AT ALL TIMES. One of the most troubling traits of a man is not asking for, or not knowing when to ask for help. We will keep our dire straits to ourselves, even when others can plainly see it, but pride will keep us from asking for the help that is obviously needed. He says "women, children and dogs are loved unconditionally, but men are only loved under the condition that they provide something."

    Let's discuss...

The first day of spring means I have to do the last act of winter; putting away the last of the remaining snowglobes I have in the studio. Releasing winter and officially welcoming spring is an annual thing that gets me in the mood for a new season.
