    • The Critics Are Coming
      Jun 6 2023

When it comes to being offended it is often connected to something that has happened to us and the response that comes after. Have you ever stopped to consider that when we become offended it is due to the criticism we do to ourselves? And the reason that we are so quick to criticize is because we are not walking in our God given identity. (Let that sink in for a minute).

In this episode we are going to see how offense happens when we do not know who God has called us to be and what the truth of the word says.

Every day you and I have an opportunity to become offended at God and at other people. But when you choose to walk with Jesus and keep your faith in him, you become blessed! If you have become offended with God repent and then recount every good thing he has done for you. Don’t let offense be an option, but turn to Christ as you reflect on scripture as well as all the blessings in your life

Get your pen and paper ready!

      This week's journal prompt

      1. Share how you see yourself? Where do you pull your self-esteem from?
      2. Do you find it hard to love yourself the way God loves you? Which of these — heart, soul, mind or strength — do you struggle with the most?
      3. Who do you celebrate? Take the time to be intentional ans celebrate other on your social media platforms or just reach out a text them.
      4. Is there someone you have offended without realizing it? (If you are struggling to think of someone, it could be the person you internally refuse to celebrate.) Pray a prayer for them and write a pray of help for you.
