We all have the ability to see whether or not someone else's apology is sincere. Are the humbling themselves? Have they broken their heart or their ego down even a little in understanding the hurt and distance their action has caused?

If we can see it, then of course God can! Our apology, in the form of sacrifice, is quite literally just a means to close the distance we have created between us and our creator. His heart breaks- and in all cases from the Old Testament to today- He provides the materials from which we physically "apologize"! It's a staggering thought to realize that God wants us to close the gaps we create so badly, even when He is blameless, that He leans out and provides us with the means to say we're sorry!

Mainstream $cience wants you to be afraid of (and for) the earth. The more fear they stir up... the more unwell (spiritually, mentally AND physically) people become.

They have taken a grain of truth- that the earth is changing- and created its own narrative around why. The truth is... God created the earth to change, and the Bible tells us that He set in motion an end. If we see it in His design, and we are told what is happening in His word.... is fear really an appropriate reaction? Alternatively, should we do nothing to care for the earth if we know it is "doomed"?

Is it your brain that "believes"? It seems to me that our current culture suggests that we should "believe" entirely by hearing the facts as they are presented. We are intended to accept whatever the "authority" deems correct- and "believe" it... hence all the folks running around announcing that we should "believe in science". But... does that model of belief mesh with what the science actually says about how we believe? Jesus doesn't discount the brain in the process of belief- but He suggests it involves another important part of our body. Join me today and we'll explore all that this means for us and our health.

It's so easy to get caught up in worry- it's actually a cultural value and norm in the West. EVERYONE does it... and increasingly we have medical evidence that support it's bad for our health. What does Jesus have to say about it? Just before He entered Jerusalem before the end of His earthly ministry He was talking about this issue- it seems it's pretty important!

Have you read the Bible cover to cover? If not, can you articulate what it is that's stopping you? I know that I was never overtly told in church that I shouldn't... but somehow I got the message to just let others do it and follow along. Strangely, my husband had the same experience. We started discussing they "why" here in our family this week and here's what came of that!

One of the toughest concepts in today's culture to reconcile in Christianity is the idea that if we submit, obey, subjugate ourselves to God... there is unlimited freedom and liberty. This is because our culture is all about going our own way, achieving under our own initiative. But God created both you and the raven... yet only the raven is free from the stress of survival. So what are we missing?

How much separation have you allowed between yourself and God? Between yourself and God's creation? Ah... perhaps you see those as two different things, but it's pretty clear that God intended us to be tied in to the systems that are throughout His creation. It is where He comforts us, instructs us... warns us. If we are disconnected, eating man's created food, living entirely indoors, unaware of how His creation even works... how will we know when He tells us He is coming back?
