Jet guides us through his life journey that has led to making music that is both personal and relatable. His testimony of persevering through trials in life that include losing his father to a terminal illness are addressed in his songs and he reveals how the music plays a role in his processing of those events. The guys also reflect on how Jet's dad influenced him and how his show of support can be a model for their own lives and facilitating interests in their own kids.

Growing up around the Great Lakes, the sight of a freighter on the horizon of the big lakes is not uncommon. Karl steps us through how he built a career steering these ships around the big freshwaters of Lake Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Superior. They also learn how the ships hide from storms and what they're hauling around.

Karl also shares his cool experiences getting to hunt along side his Dad growing up in Alpena in northern Michigan, and how that has shaped the style of hunting he still does today.
