In this episode, Matt and Liam talk about compassion fatigue.
Compassion fatigue is the emotional, physical, and psychological exhaustion caused by prolonged exposure to the suffering and trauma of others.
We explore what this can look like when you are trying to support other people through grief, but also what happens when you are the person who needs support and those around you begin to feel overwhelmed.
We also talk about how compassion fatigue can show up in relationships, especially when both you and your partner are grieving, struggling, or trying to carry each other through something incredibly heavy.
As always, this is an honest conversation about the messier parts of grief, support, and trying to keep going when everyone is running on empty.
