  • How I Started My Own Collective | The Payton Dunn Story | Co-Hosted
    Jul 2 2026

In this special solo episode of Co-Hosted, Payton Dunn tells his story in his own words for the first time — how a veteran with no full-time job and a chip on his shoulder built a fan-run NIL collective from scratch after watching Arkansas football fall apart.

From losing to Memphis, to filing paperwork the day Notre Dame embarrassed the Hogs, to convincing athletes to trade a piece of their check for real fan engagement — Payton walks through the whole journey. He gets honest about what he learned, why fans deserve a seat at the table in the NIL era, and why he's now stepping away to build something bigger and more national with Rally Point Media.

This episode also marks a transition for Co-Hosted. Payton is currently developing a documentary on the state of NIL and college sports, with a goal of interviewing around 40 people across the space to tell the full story of where college athletics is headed.

    In this episode:

    • Why the Memphis and Notre Dame losses lit the fire
    • Building a fan-run collective from scratch with no blueprint
    • The dollar-a-week idea and why the barrier to entry matters
    • What he learned helping athletes tell their stories and build their brands
    • Why fans deserve a voice in the NIL era
    • The move from Choose Arkansas to Rally Point Media and going national
    • A first look at the upcoming NIL documentary
