    • Season 4: Episode 3 - Kate Williams - CEO and Co-Founder @ Bold Donut
      Mar 27 2025

Featuring Kate Williams, CEO and Co-founder of Bold Donut.

Our third featured female CEO this year, we are proud to present another novel and promising offering aiming to address the climate crisis.

Kate has co-founded Bold Donut as a sustainability engagement company that provides a portfolio of digital games. They design and customise these games based on the enterprise customer's context and domain, in order to provide their employees a fun way of engaging in sustainability.

In this episode, some of the highlights that Kate shares are as follows:

      • Changing the narrative from doomsday story resulting in people's feeling unable to make a difference, and switching it to feeling positive, upbeat and knowledgeable and contributing to solving the problem of climate change.
      • This activity as an employee engagement benefit and a fun initiative as opposed to a required training, and using that interaction in short bursts to capture attention and land an important message and learning, coupled with full-fledged data analytics around engagement, learning behaviour and recommended actions.
      • Waste management at an enterprise level is one of those last mile solutions that bring together a portfolio of investments in sustainability solutions such as installing renewable energy power sources, key infrastructure improvements etc, in addition of course to embedding sustainability into the core business model too.

Bold Donut have most recently added ESB to their list of customers! Landing key opportunities like the partnership with Mywaste.ie as well as becoming a provider to ESB – Kate and her co-founder Nathan have come a long way in their short 2.5 year journey and have a lot of exciting things to look forward to. Tune in to the episode to hear more.
