🏮Late last year (2025), I visited Xi’an (the ancient city of Chang'an). Standing before the historical maps and models of Chang’an, I found myself wondering: what was it actually like to live there?
Tonight, I am so pleased to introduce a new series: Chang’an Daily Life.
In this upcoming series, we will journey back over 1,300 years to explore the Tang Dynasty - not through grand history books, but through the quiet, everyday rhythms of the people who lived it. From scholars by candlelight to night watchmen on the city walls, these are stories created for rest, calm, and peaceful listening.
