Carroll John Daly was a writer of crime fiction. In the early 1929’s, he was one of the earliest writers of hard-boiled Private investigator fiction. He is best known for his detective character Race Williams, who appeared in a number of stories for Black Mask magazine in the 1920s. Stay tuned for some of Race’s story.

Ellery Queen is both a famous fictional detective and the shared pen name for American cousins Frederic Dannay and Manfred B. Lee. For over 40 years, the duo wrote dozens of Golden Age mystery novels, famously challenging readers to solve crimes using all the clues before the author's trademark "Challenge to the Reader."

Rex Todhunter Stout was an American writer noted for his detective fiction. His best-known characters are the detective Nero Wolfe and his assistant Archie Goodwin, who were featured in 33 novels and 39 novellas or short stories between 1934 and 1975. Many of the stories have been translated into films, radio shows, stage plays and series for magazines.
