  • Speaking Out - Part 2
    Nov 5 2020
Earlier this year, the pro wrestling industry went through it’s own Me Too Movement, which would come to be known as the Speaking Out Movement. Numerous allegations of abuse and sexual assault rose to the surface online, prompting survivors to tell their stories. The abuse was prolific and widespread, and happening right on our doorstep. In part two of this roundtable with Xena, Avary and Candy Lee, we continue to assess the institutions that have facilitated the abuse of women and queer people in the wrestling industry. We also attempt to find solutions, as the industry attempts to rebuild. This roundtable originally took place in July 2020. If you haven’t listened to part one of this roundtable, go back and do that first.
