Welcome to the month of February guys as we are excited to take our rightful position within this month, being the FIRST and the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee ⭐️, we are the Black Men Vent Too Podcast!

If you woke up this morning, you’re winning without a doubt. But if you woke up this morning black, then not only are you winning, but you have found a platform that advocates for our black men winning as well by way of them sharing their stories about how they’ve dealt with mental health. Let’s get into today’s podcast, this one for sure is a good one! 😎

Representing Nashville as a native, we have a young black man that knows a thing or two about chopping heads. A master barber in his own right, he has traveled to Atlanta & the DC area for service, and continues to expand his network one head at a time. 💈

Not only is he talented with his hands, but today’s guest is a proud father, a young entrepreneur, and even has a stylist line with one of his close brothers emphasizing the importance of looking good, while striving to be better. We’re presenting to some and introducing to others our good friend and brother, Mr. Dre Guapo. ⭐️

Dre comes to vent on our platform about a lot of things, but he takes time to dedicate a large part of his venting to his mother and how watching her resilience throughout his life helped make him the man he is today.

He states, “I don’t know how my momma did it … she just did it.” 🙏🏽

Growing up in a household of many siblings, Dre being the middle child vents about how he was able to learn a lot from both his younger and older siblings. We get into the conversation about fatherhood, and Dre vents by stating that as a young father …

“it’s hard to teach yourself to be a man, and a father at the same time.” 💯

Not just black men … but safe to say if you’ve traveled the journey of fatherhood, no matter your race or ethnicity, we ALL as men can for sure agree to that.

Representing Nashville as a native, we have a young black man that advocates for both the Nashville community, and black culture in his own unique way. Known for his unapologetically pro-Black presence, he uses his platform to amplify Black excellence, strengthen community, and uplift young people through service and intentional action. We are excited to present to some and introduce to others, former Judicial Assistant for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, our good friend and brother Mr. Micah Dixon 🌟

Micah comes to vent on our platform about his current Senior year at KIPP Collegiate Academy, and talks about how mentally challenging it was to have to miss parts of his final year due to surgery. We all can remember our Senior years of high school in one way or another, and the core memories stored from those moments with friends. Micah, as of today’s episode, has been accepted to an astonishing 19 different colleges and universities across the nation! Let’s pivot right into today’s guest and today’s episode, because if you know anything about basketball in Nashville … you’ve seen this young brother “pivot” a few times, leaving defenders clueless on the court. A true native of Benoit, Mississippi, but he is proud to claim that Nashville raised him to be the man he is today. Presenting to some and introducing to others, our good friend and good brother, Mr. George Stanberry. ⭐️

We get into the conversation with George, and he vents about coming out of a real dark hole at one point in his life. He gives high praise to a many of people in his family and circle that have helped him along the way. While he has traveled his mental health journey, he’s been able to also meet a young lady, now being his fiancée, that truly has given him a different perspective on love and communication. George came to our podcast January 9th, 2023, and from then to now … we highlighted his glow coming into the studio. George admits in his younger years, he “was outside”. Really not having a true path and just navigating recklessly at one point. But again, his family and his circle gave him a different perspective on life that has helped him to where he’s at today. Man … the first episode of the year, and it’s a good one. Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. 🙏🏽
