Navigating the work force as an African American woman has many challenges. Especially when it comes to the huge wage gap difference amongst our white counterparts. Creating boundaries within the workforce is a necessity to help you find balance between your moral integrity and a steady paycheck. But, when you know what you know you can always use that as leverage.
Today KD and I discuss our challenges in the workforce with such disparities. Through our experiences we are able to provide real life tips, suggestions, and advice to keep going and not focus on the lack. Also, using what you know (your certifications/degrees) to get the pay you deserve. There’s always room from negotiation.
Go get your bag and keep your integrity intact while doing it.
