What an amazing and truly inspiring guest on today’s episode. The most emotional episode yet… I sit down and talk with Nicole Gebhardt about using her pain for purpose….

I just got done reading her book A Queen Saves Herself. It is a raw, bold, and unforgettable memoir by Nicole Gebhardt. It recounts unfathomable tragedies that led to her transformational and triumph over a childhood of molestation and rape years of depression and abusive first marriage, the death of a child and miscarriages. Through a faithful and almost fatal fall down the stairs. Nicole began a journey of discovery and evolution that led her to overcome grief, addiction, and low self-esteem, shaking off the victim persona and not accepting even her perceived conciliate title or survivor. Oct 29 2025
On today’s episode…I sit down with Janet Needham: Hormone Pharmacist, Podcast Host, Women’s Health Influencer

Janet is from Velva, a rural town in ND. In 1992, she earned a BS from NDSU College of Pharmacy. After graduation, she moved to Moses Lake, WA, and worked in a corporate retail pharmacy. However, she quickly realized that a pharmacy career in an insurance-based healthcare model was more about “sick care” than health care. In 1998, Shawn and Janet opened Moses Lake Professional Pharmacy. Janet has specialized in hormone balancing for over 25 years.

Janet hosts a twice-weekly podcast with Shawn called Health Solutions with Shawn and Janet Needham, which can be found on many popular social media and audio podcast platforms. Their podcast focuses on natural healing and wellness and brings Shawn and Janet’s expertise to the masses. They’ve been honored to interview many distinguished guests, including Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, Robb Wolf, Dr. Scott Jensen, Dr. Keith Smith, Dr. Kelly Victory, Dr. Peter McCullough, and Dr. Shawn Baker, among many others.

Over 25 years ago, Shawn and Janet Needham—both pharmacists—opened their compounding pharmacy, Moses Lake Professional Pharmacy, in Washington. At first, they took whatever business they could to get it off the ground. After a few years, they painfully realized they were a part of the problem and decided to take a stand and become the solution for their patients.

Today, their compounding pharmacy, which operates on a direct customer pay model, is thriving. Their pharmacy specializes in Bioidentical Hormone Balancing and is licensed in six states, with more to come.

Could He Really Leave His Family? His Kids? In January 2016, Chris David was grieving the loss of two close friends, facing the end of a tumultuous marriage, and heading into a custody battle for his youngest son. He was also thinking about how to kill himself. Convinced it would fix his problems and end his pain, he was standing on the edge of a cliff of despair, somewhere he never thought he would be. But as Chris David explains, there was one major problem with that plan. “My wife may have wished me dead, but I didn’t want to leave my sons without a father. I couldn’t abandon them and let them feel the same way I did when I was a kid. My boys didn’t deserve that. No matter what happened and how horrible I felt at that moment, I couldn’t do that to them. I didn’t want to do that to them.” Realizing he had some work to do on himself before he could be the father he needed to be, Chris began a five-month journey zig-zagging across the southern US with his lovable sheepdog O’Malley by his side. Using his inner voice as a guide, Chris’s journey was marked along the way with “strangers” that would validate his choices and point him toward home.

In It Was Never Just About Me: The Journey That Saved My Life, Chris David lays bare the fractured family that raised him, his desire for love and validation, and the void inside him that could not be filled until he faced his challenges head-on. He details the peace he on his found on his journey and the strength he draws on every day to be the father he wants to be. A raw, inspirational memoir, It Was Never Just About Me: The Journey That Saved My Life is both honest and moving—and a pat on the back to anyone struggling to take control of their life.
