    • Badasste Episode 004 - Covid Comes Calling
      May 9 2022

When I nearly got hit by a train after moving into my first real apartment in Toronto, I realized I had to leave. The pandemic had filled me with fear and I was not a functioning human being. Here is the story of what the last two years has put me through and the story of how the virus showed up in my home. The result of which changed everything, including my health (mental and physical). I also share my game plan on how to recover from the stress of what I endured and my how I intend on moving to the next phase of my life.

Trigger warning. This account of what I went through is a very emotional experience and I talk about frightening topics, medically and psychologically.

The Warrior Playlist I refer to can be found here at Spotify, it has a short warm up and then intense foul mouthed music followed by an eclectic cool down:

I could not in good conscience podcast about bravery without acknowledging the terror I went through during the pandemic. Being a badass does not necessarily mean you do not get scared or cry. In fact, bravery does not exist without fear so this is my most badass story of all time.

Special thanks to Tony Robbins for giving me the tools to find physical strength, learn the importance of letting go of fear in the name of self-preservation and re-examining my story to acknowledge the warrior spirit inside me. You have helped me learn how to celebrate that I am still alive and how very lucky I am.

    • Badasste Episode 003: Hexed Sisterhood Of The Supernatural Podcast Reunion With Shannon Ridler
      Apr 4 2022

From 2010 to February 24, 2014 my sister Shannon and I did 152 podcast episodes of Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural, a podcast about Supernatural television TV from a magic-oriented perspective. We watched EVERYTHING during that time period! If you hang out with us you will find out what inspired us to do a podcast all those years ago, the shows we talked about back then, shows that are on now (what fun!) and how we felt about the television show Supernatural with the Winchester brothers coming to an end.

You will hear us reminisce fondly over the good and challenging times we did Hexed and why it finally came to an end. Lots of laughter and even tears on my part (I had to be a badass and be true to how hard this all was for me) as we talk about supernatural TV for a podcast one last time. Here is the breakdown of the episode:

      Time Coding:

      0:00 Intro

      1:00 Hexed backstory

      9:12 TV shows we discussed

    • Badasste Episode 002 - My Jewelry Journey & Finding My Path To Wear Your Altar
      Mar 24 2022

Jewelry making has terrified me. I wanted it so badly! It was not an organic process and has changed significantly over time until Wear Your Altar finally found its way into my life:

I tried everything and so many things failed but the badass in me picked me up off the ground and tried again. I really started to take it seriously when I was living on a mountain in BC and needed food to eat. I came up with my own enchanted jewelry but the cost came and compromised my health. From there I tried many different mediums and now the pagan in me let's nature do the work! I just make the pieces, the magic comes from her.
