It’s the final episode of Season 2 and we’re officially signing off for Christmas.

In this one, we get cosy and do a proper end-of-season catch-up. We chat Christmas films (the good, the questionable and the ones mostly Katie doesn't like), shout out a few local restaurants we love – apologies in advance if you don’t live near us – and reflect on what this season has actually taught us.

There’s a bit of nostalgia, a bit of honesty and the usual chaos, as we wrap up Season 2 and head into a Christmas break.

This week we’re talking video game weapons of choice. Lisa goes straight for a flame thrower because she thinks it’s very epic, while Katie – a past gamer – knows what's up: the Halo energy sword.

We also dip into some sensible territory with the mental load and how to manage Christmas without losing your mind.

And finally, Lisa’s Santa inflatable. It does nothing all day, then at 4pm it perks up – but only after Lisa gets involved.

This week on Back to Me, we face an important dilemma… which one of us would actually make it on I’m a Celebrity? Lisa? Absolutely not. Katie? As long as she can close her eyes under water.

We also dive into Christmas trees. Lisa’s is a perfectly curated, beautiful tree that matches the tone of her room. Katie’s is .. not that.

Plus, we chat through our Christmas traditions – the ones we love, the ones we pretend to love and the ones we’ll be carrying on whether anyone else likes them or not.

Expect the usual teasing, questionable opinions, and plenty of festive chaos.

Katie is having a lazy day – Lisa, of course, blames the moon. We catch up on each other’s weekends, share some unexpectedly passionate opinions about hoovers and mops and generally question what in the world are we talking about. So yeah… it’s one of those episodes.

This week we dive into the real meanings behind some of the sayings we all use without thinking, and somehow end up talking about celebrity traitors, too. Lisa fills us in on her appearance on Lorraine – yes, the actual TV show – and, in the biggest shock of all, she booked a dinner table for 10.30pm. Will she ever recover? Will Katie?

This week we’re talking grammar (exciting!!!), the things that constantly irritate Lisa and a very confusing life coaching segment about what Lisa calls “the emotional tunnel” and Katie absolutely does not understand. There are metaphors that may or may not make sense, patient explanations and absolutely no progress made whatsoever.

As ever, we laugh at each other (and ourselves), question everything and still manage to offer nothing helpful.

This week on Back to Me we somehow manage to cover grief, Netflix (because when do we not), Katie’s ongoing battle with her boiler and Lisa’s possibly totally rational fear of roads.

It’s one of those episodes that starts with chaos, detours through a surprisingly grounded chat about how we handle loss and ends with questionable life choices. We even tried to tie up some loose ends.

So pretty normal then.
