      Harry claims to have seen the ghosts of the roman legion marching through the walls of York’s Treasurer’s house. Harry's story has become one of the city’s most well-known ghost tales.

      Harry Martindale was 18 when he saw the ghostly sight in 1953, while working as an apprentice helping install heating in the cellar of the historic property next to York Minster.

      On this episode i visit popular stories of Hampton court palace. Hampton Court Palace is a Grade I listed royal palace in London. The original Tudor Hampton Court Palace was built by Cardinal Wolsey in the early 16th century, but it soon attracted the attention of Henry VIII, who brought all his six wives to the palace.

      The palace is home to many ghost stories but two in particular have sad endings, stories of love, betrayal and manifestation.
