  • Big Moose Lake
    Apr 7 2026

    *Listener Discretion is Advised*

While Big Moose Lake in northern New York is today the destination of fun tourist activities and vacations, it was once the site of a tragic death. The only evidence that remains today is a historical marker, describing the events that took place that fateful day in 1906. Prominent families, scandal, and heartfelt love letters are just some of the things that make up this captivating story. Listen as we unfold the events that have since inspired books, movies, songs, and plays.

  • The Murder of Blair Adams
    Jan 13 2026

Originally from Canada, Robert Dennis “Blair” Adams eventually found his way to a hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee. Unfortunately, this would be the last place he was seen alive. From a cancelled flight to fear of coworkers in Germany, nothing but odd circumstances surround the death of this 31-year-old man, leaving investigators baffled. If you have any information regarding this case, please contact the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 865-215-2243 or coldcase@knoxsherriff.org

*We are continuing to grow and learn in this space. While the research in this episode is thoughtfully and thoroughly done (and we still want to release it, especially with a guest) we recognize that the subject matter is dark and heartbreaking. Moving forward, we will be much more mindful about limiting humor in episodes that cover material of this magnitude. At times, I (Belle) use humor to mask nerves, but these stories represent real people and real lives, and I never want the weight of that loss to be diminished, for myself or for our listeners. Thank you for your understanding.
