We believe in leading society towards ultimate wellbeing but mental health in the western society is on a downward spiral, and the underlying problems are being woefully overlooked. This is why AFF Missions SCIO exist. Now, we are not claiming to have all the answers or capacity to confront all the underlying problems. However, through the years we have worked to discover and design potent programs that can alleviate Affective Polarisation and Validation of Extrinsic Goals as two of the core underlying problems.Affective polarisation is the disconnect; the fragmentation tribalized and politicized into divergences that escalate animosity between people. As Frazer et al (2022) record, it has direct link to the deterioration of the mental wellbeing of people because it is expressed through violations such as marginalisation, bullying, discrimination, and violent extremism, which are significantly responsible for cases of common mental health disorders.Validation of extrinsic goals is the pursuit of societal validation and approval through financial success, luxurious lifestyles, material wealth, augmentation of physical appearance to meet beauty standards, fame, and the accumulation of awards and accolades. Social media as the free market algorithmic apparatus has become the perfect platform for showcasing extrinsic goals. According to Halvorson (2010), extrinsic goals when prioritised, always trigger poor mental health in people. When the pressures to keep up is overwhelming and the failure to win the desperately needed societal approval and validation is inevitable, people fall into depression, anxiety, panic disorders, eating disorders, body dysmorphia and substance use disorders. This is why we need all the support we can get to enable us amalgamate social science research, creative arts and technology to program events and activities that can confront these issues. This trailer introduces our work as charity; thus, who we are, what we do and why we do what we do. We show briefly, why focus is on therapy and less is done about the very problems that cause these mental disorders. After making our case, we appeal to the general public for support to help us fulfil this charitable purpose. This trailer can not and must not be monetized.
