We spraken met Amadeus en ATPI experts over NDC, de nieuwe distributie vorm, ontwikkeld door IATA. Dat dit een hyperactueel onderwerp is, is wel duidelijk. Eerder deze maand ging American Airines in de Verenigde Staten over op NDC, en meer recent kondigde Air France KLM aan deels de goedkoopste boekingsklasse niet meer via EDIFACT en alleen nog via NDC te gaan distribueren. De vraag rijst wat dit allemaal betekent voor de zakelijke reiziger? Om die vraag te kunnen beantwoorden, kijken we eerst terug met Amadeus. Want hoe werkt airline distributie eigenlijk, en wat is NDC? Wat verandert er dan precies? En wat voegt NDC toe?
