  • 50 | ChatGPT Took the Stress Out of My Tax Season: A Faster Way to Categorize Receipts and Total Deductions
    Feb 19 2026

Tax season used to stress me out every single year.

I would promise myself I’d enter receipts monthly… and then by April or May, I’d fall off. Fast forward to January and I’d be in full panic mode trying to organize everything for my CPA.

This year I tried something different.

In this short episode, I walk you through exactly how I used ChatGPT to:

    • Extract text from receipt photos

    • Categorize expenses by deduction type

    • Organize farm and business receipts separately

    • Calculate totals by category

    • Prep everything for my CPA in about two hours

⚠️ Important: AI can make mistakes. I share how I double-checked everything and why you should never skip verification — especially when it comes to taxes.

If you’re a busy mom entrepreneur juggling farm life, business, and family, this might save you hours during tax season.

    What I Did (Step-By-Step)

    1. Took photos/screenshots of all receipts (farm + business kept separate)

    2. Uploaded receipts into ChatGPT (5–10 at a time)

    3. Gave ChatGPT my deduction categories first

      • Example: animal feed, fertilizer, supplies, etc.

    4. Asked it to:

      • Extract title + price

      • Categorize each expense

    5. Copied results into a Google Doc

    6. Uploaded the completed document back into ChatGPT

    7. Asked it to total spending per category

    8. Entered those totals into my bookkeeping software

    9. Sent everything to my CPA

What would have taken hours of manual entry took about two hours total.

    Important Reminders

    • AI can make mistakes — always double-check numbers

    • Keep your original receipts (I store mine digitally)

    • Don’t rely on AI blindly for tax-related tasks

    • Verify math before sending anything to your CPA

    Taxes require precision.

💬 The Prompt I Use to Clean Up My Rambling Episodes

(Copy and paste this into ChatGPT whenever you record a messy brain dump or voice note and want to turn it into a clear, podcast-ready script while keeping your real voice intact.)

👉 "I'm going to share with you a very rough draft of a podcast transcript where I just rambled and I want you to take it and without rephrasing or rewording or removing any of my ideas help me clean it up a little bit to where it can be a podcast episode that flows better. But it is super important that you leave all the details and all the ideas intact so that it is my original content."

This is the prompt Samantha used to turn her rough recording for this episode into what you’re hearing today!

    Takeaways

    • A simple boundary: If you’d hire it out, AI can help. If not, don’t hand it to AI.

    • Two mom wins: meal planning (recipes + grocery list) and turning a brain dump into a calm Top 3.

    • For entrepreneurs: record first, then use your transcript to spin out notes, blogs, and posts.

  • 46 | Stop Using AI-Generated Photos: How to Build Real Trust With Real-Life Images (+ Smart Ways AI Can Actually Help Do That)
    Oct 2 2025

Should you use AI to generate your brand photos? In this episode, Samantha explains why AI-made images chip away at trust—and exactly how to use AI as a planning assistant instead (shot lists, mood boards, posing checklists) while showing up with your real life. Authentic photos connect; AI supports the process.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Authentic, original photos typically earn more trust and engagement than AI-generated images.

    • Keep a “real moments” folder on your phone and repurpose across platforms.

    • Let AI help with shot ideas, poses, outfits, props, and color planning—not with fabricating locations or faces.

    • A simple DIY system (window light + self-timer + checklist) beats overproduced, inauthentic visuals.

  • 44 | I Let AI Plan Our Sister Trip: What Worked, What Didn’t, and What I’d Do Differently
    Sep 11 2025

I used AI (ChatGPT) to plan a week-long sister trip on a tight budget—here’s exactly how I prompted it, what it did well, where it missed, and how we adjusted in real time. If travel planning overwhelms you, this will show you how AI can remove the heavy research while keeping your voice and preferences front and center.

    Takeaways:

    • Give AI the real constraints: budget, past destinations, driving radius, and your must-haves.

    • Ask for combined options (e.g., historic + beach + walkable + budget).

    • Treat AI’s itinerary as a guide—add buffer time for driving, walking, and lingering.

    • Re-prompt for realism: “Double drive times,” “assume average walking pace,” and “build relaxed blocks.”

    • Use AI for food ideas, activity filters, and cost estimates—then verify any big-ticket items.
