We discuss real things such as following our convictions in our friendships and what to do if we don't feel good enough for great godly friendships. The first candle (purple) symbolizes hope – the hope that the Messiah would come

The second candle (purple) symbolizes love – Gods love towards us for sending His Son Jesus to save us from our sins

The third candle (pink) symbolizes joy – the joy we find in Christ and His coming

Peter knows that his time on earth is coming to an end, and so he leaves the believers with important reminders that he tells that they will need to always remember. Peter shares about the Day of The Lord, the returning of Jesus Christ.

One of my most favorite scriptures Peter wrote in this letter, "The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

In 2 Peter 2, Peter is telling the believers that false teachers were present in Israel and assures the them that there will be false teachers among them as well . Peter is giving a warning to the believers and gives them things to look out for so that they will not fall away and follow them.

In 2 Peter 1, Peter discloses that he knows the Lord Jesus Christ will soon be calling Him home. Listen to the last Words of Peter as we jump into his second letter. He encourages the believers to grow in grace and knowledge as they learn of God and their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peter also addresses false prophets and the importance knowing the scriptures and what the prophets of old have spoken, for they were moved by the Holy Spirit and speaking from God.
