What started as tension over land, mining power, water rights, and representation quietly turned into one of the most serious state-division movements in American history. From early boundary changes that reshaped Nevada’s borders, to the modern push for a “New Nevada,” this story reveals how rural and urban Nevada have long been locked in a struggle over who controls the state’s future. It’s a story of power, resources, federal land, and a population divided by geography — not ideology. This isn’t conspiracy. This isn’t rumor. This is real Nevada history that rarely gets talked about. If you’ve ever wondered why Nevada feels like two different worlds, this episode explains why.Subscribe to Fourth Street Live Podcast for more wild stories from the Silver State — outlaws, casinos, and the real history behind the neon. • Christopher Lee Thompson #33 | Fourth Street Live Podcast
      Jan 15 2026

In this episode of Fourth Street Live, Jacob sits down with Christopher Lee Thompson, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Army National Guard flight engineer whose military career spans decades, deployments, and some of the most intense moments of modern warfare.

Chris shares his journey from growing up moving between California, Utah, and Nevada to enlisting in the Marine Corps alongside his brother. After serving active duty in logistics and overseas assignments in Japan, Chris later reenlisted in the Army National Guard, where he became a Chinook crew chief and flight engineer, deploying to Afghanistan and flying combat missions in some of the most dangerous regions in the country. He opens up about loss, survival, the Mustang 22 incident, and what it’s like to carry those memories home.

Beyond combat, Chris talks about the importance of helping other veterans simply by talking, listening, and being present. This episode is a raw conversation about service, sacrifice, grief, humor, brotherhood, and the responsibility to look out for one another long after the uniform comes off.
