À propos de ce contenu audio
In 2007, CBS premiered a reality show that asked a simple question: Can kids run a town? The answer was chaos. Kid Nation dropped forty children 8-15 years old into a New Mexico ghost town with no parents, no teachers, and no idea what they’d signed up for. What followed was part summer camp, part dystopian experiment, and entirely unethical. This week, we reopen the dusty case file of Kid Nation: the post–Survivor experiment that turned childhood into content. We’ll examine how a network executive’s “social experiment” became a legal and moral nightmare, why parents signed 22-page waivers that read like horror scripts, and how the resulting footage blurred the line between leadership training and child endangerment.
