À propos de ce contenu audio
A new year, a new reading goal. And this time, I’m doing things differently.
In this episode of Laura’s Library, I talk about my 2026 reading goals, why I set my Goodreads goal to one book, and how I’m unlearning the pressure to turn reading into another productivity challenge. Reading should feel like rest, not stress.
Tune in to explore what it means to enjoy hobbies for their own sake, how productivity culture has shaped the way we read, and why letting go of rigid goals might actually help you read more, and enjoy it more deeply.
In this episode:
How my relationship with reading shifted after burnout and reading slumps
The genres I want to prioritize in 2026 (more fantasy, my first real dive into sci-fi)
Facing my fear of big books (page count shouldn’t matter)
My intention to read weekly, not constantly
How reading supports creativity, emotional regulation, and calm
My January TBR from book club picks, romance, fantasy, nonfiction, and more
If you’ve ever felt behind on your reading goal, pressured to “optimize” your hobbies, or stuck in a slump you can’t seem to shake, this episode is an invitation to slow down, read what you love, and let books be a refuge again.
From one fangirl to another, it's lovely to have you here. Happy reading 🩷☁️
