Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. High pressure parked itself over the Pacific Northwest like a bouncer at the door. and it's not letting any storms through. That means we're in for a dry, warming weekend — the kind where you actually want to open the windows. In the next 24 hours. Right now. Puget Sound sits at 40 degrees under a gray blanket of clouds. but that's breaking up as we speak. By this afternoon, you're looking at mostly sunny skies and a high of 51 degrees. Winds stay light from the north at 3 to 10 miles an hour. Push east over the Cascades and Eastern Washington woke up colder at 30 degrees. Clear skies overnight means that sun's going to work fast today. You'll hit 51 degrees this afternoon, then drop back to 30 tonight under partly cloudy skies. Down in the South Sound, patchy fog is hanging around early. It should lift before daybreak. Expect mostly cloudy conditions today with a high of 51 degrees — a bit more cloud cover than Seattle, but still pleasant. Sunday keeps the good times rolling. Puget Sound climbs to 54 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Eastern Washington hits 52. South Sound reaches 56 degrees. A fantastic close to the weekend. The pattern flips Tuesday night. A trough moves in with lowland rain and mountain snow. Wednesday through Friday looks wet statewide. Snow levels drop to pass level, so winter driving conditions return over the Cascades. Soak in this quiet stretch. We're gaining over three minutes of daylight today. and the spring equinox is just 20 days out. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.
