Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Winter's throwing one last tantrum before spring shows up next week. A clipper system is cranking out snow right now. and it's hitting hardest across the south central and southeast — that's where the Winter Weather Advisory runs until noon. In the next 24 hours. Central North Dakota is in the thick of it. Heavy snow at 5 A.M., dumping 1 to 3 inches before it eases off this afternoon. You'll top out at 16 degrees. Tonight drops to 3 degrees under cloudy skies. Northern areas catch the snow around 7 A.M. About an inch expected before it moves out. High near 13 degrees, but watch it fall to 11 by afternoon. Tonight bottoms out at 1 degrees. Eastern North Dakota sees the lightest action. Snow peaks around 11 A.M. With less than an inch likely. but here's your cold spot — high today only hits 9 degrees with a north wind at 12 miles an hour. Tonight? Minus 4 degrees. That's the coldest in the state. Sunday flips the script. High pressure slides in with sunshine. Highs climb into the upper teens and low 20s. Now here's where it gets wild. A Pacific air mass barrels in Monday, shoving highs near 40 degrees. By Wednesday, southwest North Dakota could flirt with the upper 50s or even low 60s. Near-record warmth is possible. Thursday brings our next weather system. One more thing — we're gaining over 3 minutes of daylight today. Sunrise at 7:10, sunset at 6:12. Spring equinox is 20 days out. and next week will feel like it's already here. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.
