Description
After an intelligence failure at Op-Center results in a major terrorist attack, Director Chase Williams radically transforms the agency into a groundbreaking new mobile strike force.
It’s a beautiful day in Manhattan as excited tourists board the floating Air and Space Museum on the USS Intrepid - until a horrible explosion rips across the flight deck, showering the body parts of innocent people everywhere. The perpetrator is none other than Captain Ahmed Salehi, an Iranian mastermind whose last terrorism plot was foiled at the last minute by Op-Center.
Back in Washington, the White House orders Op-Center disbanded - or so it seems. Unbeknownst to America’s enemies, Director Chase Williams has been put in charge of a brand-new, top-secret covert attack team known only as Black Wasp. Its members, each chosen for their unique set of specialized black-ops skills - martial arts expert Lieutenant Grace Lee, sharpshooter Lance Corporal Jaz Rivette, and JAG attorney and criminologist Major Hamilton Breen - have been assigned to seek out Salehi and finally bring him to justice.
But Salehi is part of an even more frightening conspiracy, led by a renegade Iranian tycoon determined to establish a new Islamic State that will dwarf the horrors of ISIS. From the heart of Manhattan, to the swamps of Trinidad, to the sunbaked mud villages of Yemen, this new Op-Center is America’s only line of defense against a bloody Middle Eastern tyrant.

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO CLANCY
The basic premise of the team might be plausible, but the writing is just BAD. And the female character that no matter what is going on has to interject thoughts about women always being second? Unrealistic. I don't know who in the Clancy estate authorized this mess but they need to shut it down!

Unbelievable story
This is definitely not Tom Clancy. It reminded me of a Marvel Comics story much more than a Clancy book. Instead of taking almost believable characters and putting them in a imaginary story, this took the comic book approach of unbelievable characters, with a total lack of anything to do with reality, and put them in an unimaginable situation. This book is an embarrassment to Tom Clancy. I will never read another book by this author.

Terrible
I have loved Clancy books over the years but this is perhaps the most boring book I have ever read. I kept listening, hoping it would get better. It never did.
Give up the Op-Center.

Glaringly NOT clancy.
Clancy. every new author who picks up the torch we lose a little more of Tom's style. What used to be military thrillers of extremely accurate and technical detail have devolved into spy novels which appear to be written by a talented author with no military tactical knowledge. Glaringly obvious in details such as where he refers to ammunition magazines as "clips", which no one under 60 who owns a gun, especially those in the military would ever do. I cringed. I was actually embarrassed for him. PLEASE let someone in the military or law enforcement proof read these novels.

THIS IS THE WORST BOOK. DO NOT RECOMEND. WILL NO
I would not recommend this to anyone and will not purchase another with these characters. Not a good good group to put together or story. If Iwas not using it for chores, would not have gotten through it.. What were you thinking? I have purchased every Jack Ryan, JACK RYAN JR, and op- center. Will return it immediately.

Not really Clancy
Mildly entertaining, but not the Clancey of the past. Not much character development. Will be entertaining for folks only interested in covert ops, not so much for those who enjoy real people involved in covert ops.

Not a traditional Clancy novel
The writer seems to lack and Intel knowledge seems to over embellish on religious beliefs
