À propos de cette écoute

Following the events of Bloodless, the "exciting" and "nail-biting" new thriller in Preston & Child's #1 bestselling series will once again feature FBI Special Agent A. X. L. Pendergast and Constance Greene.

Against all odds, Constance has found a way back to the place of her origins, New York City in the late 1800s, and sets off on a quest to prevent the events that lead to the deaths of her sister and brother, and stop Manhattan’s most infamous serial killer, Dr. Enoch Leng of the seminal Pendergast novel The Cabinet of Curiosities, before his nefarious experiments come to fruition.

Meanwhile, in present-day New York, Pendergast is desperate to find a way to reunite with Constance—but will he find a way before it’s too late?

While I hated the end of Vol 20 and was slightly upset with the authors over the cliffhanger and therefore resisted for 7 months to acquire the Vol 21, I have to admit: I loved it! This is a splendid Pendergast and the story is absolutely catching. I really recommend this book in both versions: audio and print (I habitually buy both). The plot twist is very "credible" even if you do not like time travel stories. Preton and Child are simply excellent writers of thrillers and when you are through with the book you habitually admit, that you were thoroughly entertained and that you spend a good time while reading/listening to the story. The reader J.Mays is also very good and has an agreable voice and good reading style, which makes the audiobook a very entertaining experience. Thanks to him too for his performance. I gave 5 stars for all items, but Mr.Mays as the narrator may even merit an extra star!

I hated the end of Vol.20...Vol.21 is adictive
