À propos de ce contenu audio
Not many people get a second chance, let alone a second life.
I died. Burnt in a prison cell I spent years of my life rotting away in.
I had been beaten, battered, and bruised beyond repair...but not broken. Never broken.
By whatever miracle, I've been brought back ten years into my past and before I was locked away...
But to a different kind of hell… Wensridge Academy. A place filled with only memories of pain and suffering.
This time, I'll break the wheel of misfortune and with it, all the people who caused my suffering and death.
This time I'll have the life I should have always had.
The Blackened Blade is the first in a new paranormal why-choose series. It's full of action, revenge, and five dark and damaged love interests that the FMC will not have to choose between. For mature listeners.

Since I had no expectations, I went with the flow and jumped into Micai's world. First tortured in a jail for God knows what reasons, she starts all over again in her former paranormal school. Interesting. But instead of investigating and trying to find out why this happened, she just decides to get stronger. Not the only thing I would have done but why not. We like a badass FMC. I really did like Micai, her internal dialogue did not overdo it, she's a rather well-written character. However, nothing really happens in the book.
Of course, one could argue that she got harrassed many (many, many) times, she trained (a lot, like everywhere she could), she met a plethora of characters (so many that I'm not sure who was who by the end of the book and who was relevant versus who was just a NPC). But, hear me out, none of it seemed to advance the plot. At the end, the FMC is still (sometimes) wondering what happened to her but did not really do anything about it. I mean, now, there are hints about a kind of reverse harem dynamic. After all, why not ? But it all feels like a big fat introduction and I'm not sure I can keep following the story for four more books if it remains in slow motion for no apparent reason.
Many good ideas but nothing really happens 🤷♀️
