Evie has forgotten about her first pair of designer shoes — since becoming a fashion designer, she’s purchased many more pairs. Rosette, the right shoe, and Lilou, the left shoe, feel betrayed by her, and come up with a plan to escape Evie’s closet, much to the shock of Evie’s slippers and sneakers. But the escape plan proves harder than Rosette and Lilou thought, and they witness much more of the city than they anticipated. This is only their first adventure, with many more to come!
The Adventures of Crazy Heels is dedicated to author Leslie Henry’s grandmother who made up the story of The Adventures of Crazy Heels when her mother was a child. Evie, the owner of the heels, is inspired by Leslie’s love of fashion and is named after her grandmother, Mary Evelyn. Henry wants children listening to this book to know that they can do whatever they set their minds to, and they can draw inspiration from the world around them, whether it be a pair of shoes, or anything!
