À propos de ce contenu audio

What does it mean to be a woman? What is the pathway to mature femininity? And what of the masculine components of a woman's personality? Robert A. Johnson explores these questions in this new edition of She, updated to reflect the growth of his thinking on these subjects.

Many writers and scholars have long considered that the ancient myth of Amor and Psyche is really the story of a woman's task of becoming whole, complete, and individuated. Here, examining this ancient story in depth and lightening up the details, Johnson has produced an arresting and perceptive exploration of what it means to become a woman. You will not listen to this book without understanding the important women in your life and a good deal more about yourself as a woman.

Great content, but I wish it was read by a Woman, as they talk about a female journey it doesn’t make sense to be read by a man.

Great but wish it was read by a woman

Could be a great way to build a story: interweave an old myth with an own interpretation, yet this book for me did not deliver on this promise at all. Mostly as the interpretations made in this book seem very far fetched, with no frame of reference to hold any of them together. More over, as a married 28-years old woman I could totally not relate with any of the 'female forces' and 'male forces' interpretations made by the author, on the contrary, the book even got to my nerves as some of the cliche-men-female thinkings just seemed to be pulled out of their already wrong context and seemingly were even being justified by 'the old myth'. To conclude, this book got me a bit mad at points and I would definitely not recommend this book to anyone.

As a woman, I could not relate at all.
