Written only months before Austen's death in 1817, Sanditon tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming Sidney Parker. When a chance accident transports her from her rural hometown of Willingden to the would-be coastal resort of the eponymous title, it exposes Charlotte to the intrigues and dalliances of a seaside town on the make, and the characters whose fortunes depend on its commercial success. The twists and turns of the plot, which takes viewers from the West Indies to the rotting alleys of London, exposes the hidden agendas of each character and sees Charlotte discover herself... and ultimately find love.
Completed by awardwinning novelist Anne-Marie Crowhurst, Sanditon will delight both fans of Jane Austen and the forthcoming television show

I expected to get new or deeper insight into the minds of our characters. I expected to relive my Sanditon experience.
In fact, that was the issue I think: I expected too much and got too little.
The novelization, although faithful to the series, feels shallow. The show has a heart, the book merely states it. As for the narrator, she doesn't cut it for me. As much as I appreciated her trying to modulate her pitch for the different characters, they all sounded the same to me, and ridiculously so. It didn't feel like she was pumping any life into the characters, into the story. Which is a real pity.
To put it in a nutshell, the (audio)book is definitely worth a shot if you just want a nice little Jane Austen kind of book, and if you enjoy the "pre-listen" of the audiobook, you get what you hear, so you should have no issue with the way the book is narrated.
But if you prefer a book with more depth, probably look somewhere else (or just watch the show instead, it will take less time than to listen to its novelization anyway).
Meager consolation for fans of the TV Series

Speciale thanks to Alexandra Roach. She was great in the show and amazing personifying each and everyone.
This version, contrary to the TV serie, is definately a promess for more...
Felt like I was back to Jane Austen's world
