Terrorism can strike anywhere. Even in a city full of magic.

Wielding runic weapons forged by his own hand, ex-cop Mike Brennan returns when the city of Llewellyn suffers a series of magical terrorist attacks. With a devastated police force and a city in shambles, Mike must rely on his family and some unlikely allies, including a powerless professor of theoretical magic and an apprentice druid not old enough to shave.
As events unfold, Mike is forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions, and decide whether to once again take up the badge and the burdens that come with it.
Together, he and his allies work to stop the attacks, and discover who is behind them. But the enemy always seems to be one step ahead, and has some rather unique allies of its own.
