Don't let the cats get you, this novel is indeed like a warm blanket, but it is wrapped around stiff bodies and colder lies, not baked cookies and comfortable memories. RLA does a terrific job at setting the scene and immersing you in a peculiar town with believable characters, albeit you'll want to kill a few now and then. The narration is on point and the pacing will make it truly difficult to put it down until you've reached its conclusion. Be you surprised around every corner, or feeling proud you pieced together a few misteries ahead of Dolores, you'll come out of this feeling like you've become a bit too familiar with Little Horton, its inhabitants and the skeletons in their closets. And I just bet you'll never figure it ALL out in time...
