An educational podcast for children in which we travel back to prehistory to learn about two fundamental human species in history: Neanderthals and Homo sapiens. In this first episode of "History Has a Voice," we will discover how they lived, how they adapted to their environment, and what their main differences and similarities were.
Neanderthals were a strong and resilient human species that appeared about 400,000 years ago and became extinct approximately 40,000 years ago. They learned to endure the glacial cold, cared for their tribes, and used medicinal plants to treat illnesses.
Homo sapiens, the species to which we belong today, appeared around 300,000 years ago and developed advanced tools, cooperative hunting techniques, and a great ability to organize themselves into groups. Thanks to their adaptability, communication, and creativity, they managed to survive and spread across the planet.
In this episode, we will learn how they hunted, how they organized themselves, what culture they developed, and why Neanderthals became extinct. A fun and educational journey to better understand our origins.
A very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect for introducing prehistory in primary education and sparking curiosity about history, science, and human evolution.
