Why do her books have to end????

I truly feel so immersed in St. Mary's world that when the books are over I feel I have been shoved out of a Pod into a strange time/place and all I want to do is yell DOOR, fall back in, say 'Initiate Jump ".. And let the world go white.

Honestly, I am a constant Audible book listener 24/7 365 and when I see a St Mary's book come up on the pre order list, I am practically hopping on one foot until the moment it becomes available. I might actually have yelled at my phone to HURRY UP (but as there are no witnesses except my dog, I will deny it).

In other words, I strongly recommend this series. The characters, world building and plot are all exemplary.

Note to Jodi Taylor... Please write faster.

Surviving History One Jump At A Time.

What did you like best about this story?

This installment had lots more close calls, a shifting of power and as usual tons of tea drinking. While our trio of Max, Petersen and Markham have had better days, we know they will make it right somehow in that St. Mary's fashion. The ending is a WALLOP and I can't wait for the next installment.

What about Zara Ramm’s performance did you like?

I thank Jodi Taylor for creating these characters but Zara Ramm brings them to life. She's added tenderness, charm and humor to Max and the rest of the gang at St. Mary's. Ms. Ramm is perfect.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My anxiety levels flew with the last few chapters but in good St. Mary’s style at the end I had a good laugh.

Any additional comments?

It's always a privilege and an honor to follow the gang at St. Mary's on a new adventure. Then enjoy the entire series from the beginning because Max's insights to weight gain, tea drinking and finally married life are not to be missed.

I love this combination!

Jodi Taylor and Zara Ramm are the perfect paring in this romping historical/ science fiction/ mystery/thriller/ romance series. Great fun. And history lessons to boot! What's not to love.

Funny, bawdy and full of sarcasm. Jodi Taylor’s writing, Zara Ramm narration and typical St. Mary's antics do not disappoint. Max leads her merry band of misfits through time like a proverbial bull through a china shop. All my favorite characters are here, Markham and Peterson and some new faces. The only thing that I can say I disliked is that it was over way too soon.

If you ever want to introduce a friend to audible, a sure fire way to win them over is to provide them a gift written by Jodi Taylor.

Yet another amazing story from Jodi Taylor!

I'll keep it short. Max causes her same mischief and gets out of it spectacularly! A few tears and a satisfying ending!

Possibly the best book in the series yet

If you are a fan of St. Mary's, then you are likely to enjoy this book immensely. All of the best features of the series are strongly present, the historical episodes are fascinating, and all our our beloved characters are in rare form. I have enjoyed the full series, but this volume is my favorite to date. I look forward to the future, the past, and everything in between with St. Mary's.

Would you consider the audio edition of Lies, Damned Lies and History to be better than the print version?

I have read and or listened to all of Ms. Taylors St. Mary's books and I really prefer listening to Zara Ramm bring Max to life! Her skills are amazing and I feel through her voice acting, I get to hear and experience life at St. Mary's

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lies, Damned Lies and History?

Um... the tumbler equation was well...so Max!!!! Ms. Taylor really puts a visual of the coronation and the subsequent actions of the queen into the readers mind and paints a picture with her words that brings "history" to life.

What about Zara Ramm’s performance did you like?

She has a very pleasing voice that builds the action seemingly without effort and delivers the humor so dead pan it is amazingly perfect.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

We're St. Mary's. Our pods smell like cabbage, we love our tea, and we never leave anyone behind.

Any additional comments?

I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a writer to keep her characters fresh, funny, and yet so true to form. The St Mary's books are very well written full of mischief, suspense, humor and great relationships.
