Description
Every day, we make hundreds of small actions without even thinking about them. Pulling out our smartphones, clicking the one-click purchase button, pulling down to refresh the social media feed, and more. Automatic actions that have become so deeply programmed into our lives that we don't have the chance to stop and ask ourselves a very important question: Do I actually want to do this right now?
This book is all about taking a step back, identifying the Twitch - the impulsive, unproductive responses we have to discomfort - minimizing those distractions, kicking the clutter, and doing more of what matters.
Commentaires
"In this book, Anthony provides a unique perspective on minimalism and intentional living while proving that small changes really can make a big difference. If you're looking for practical, actionable advice on clearing the clutter and doing more of what matters, this book is a must-read.” (Joshua Becker, founder of Becoming Minimalist)
"If you're tired of your life being left on autopilot and you long to live more intentionally, you need this book. If you find yourself clinging to technology without knowing why or constantly consuming instead of creating, then this one is for you. It's time to Break the Twitch. And Anthony Ongaro will show you how." (Jeff Goins, best-selling author of The Art of Work and Real Artists Don't Starve)
"Short, sweet, and motivating is only the tip of this intentionally crafted book. You're bound to have at least a few moments where you say, 'Wait – spending less and having more of what I truly want is that simple?!' The answer is a resounding 'Yes!' as Anthony proves with vibrant stories and practical steps that anyone can do without moving mountains. Get ready to replace your own mindless twitches with more focus, greater awareness, and less stress on your brain or bank account." (Joel Zaslofsky, The Smart and Simple Podcast)

Over All Very Good Book
Was very eye opening as to how our triggers cause our twitches (impulse spending) I had never heard my person behavior described so well. Has definitely made me recognize my impulse triggers and think twice about making a new purchase. Very glad I listened to this book, not once but twice so far and will listen several more times. Each time something new stands out that I glazed over the times before

Are you distracted? Want to accomplish your goals? Read this.
This is a quick and easy starter book to understanding our daily distractions in our modern world and how to limit them to live a more fulfilling life. Don't feel guilty, start with a small step toward your happy place being your daily reality before you know it.
Add this to your collection and if your like me, listen to it weekly or twice a month to take advantage of all the advice and see how far you have come.
I am already seeing my twitches, eliminating them and I am shocked at how many times I do things out of habit and all time and energy I have wasted on them.
So excited to use all my extra time on what is truly important.
Thanks for the great "read".

Short listen but well written, read, and practical
The author does a great job at bringing common sense solutions to the valid real world issues of impulsive spending, consumerism, and time management. It's a short listen but less is definitely more with this one.

Just what I needed
I've been a fan of the blog and YouTube channel for a while now. Even though I'm familiar with the ideas presented, it didn't seem repetitive at all. much recommended!

excelente libro
un libro corto pero con excelentes recomendaciones. Nos pone a pensar un poco sobre las cosas que consumimos a diario y en realidad no son necesarias para la visa.

Good Listen
This was worth the money on a concept of the twitch. I have not heard it phrased this way before.

Very helpful!
A voice of sanity in my humble opinion.
Didnt know that buying a product or buying an experience at the End turns out the same. Clearly made me question my own believes. Perfect book while taking a longer walk and having narrated some wisdom in the ear.

Great Work, Anthony!
This is a great audio book and reminder to live more intentionally. Makes me rethink the purchase of my nearly unworn running shoes, my unread books on the shelf and my 2 year gym membership, which I took advantage of far less than when it was a slightly more expensive 6 month membership ...
