During the repair of the temple, the Book of the Law was discovered after years of neglect. When King Josiah heard God’s Word, he tore his clothes in grief and humbled himself before the Lord. Scripture exposed Judah’s sin and awakened the king’s heart to the need for genuine change.
Josiah reminds us that revival does not begin with better programs, louder music, or larger crowds. Revival begins when God’s people rediscover God’s Word, receive it with humility, and respond with repentance.
The Bible does more than inform us—it confronts us, convicts us, and calls us back to faithful obedience. We do not need to reshape Scripture to fit our lives; we need to surrender our lives to the authority of Scripture.
