The 2026 NBA offseason is officially underway and the league wasted little time reminding everyone that the calendar never truly stops.

In Episode 70 of The New Twenty Four, Gavriel Wilkins and Torrence Stagger return to break down one of the busiest weeks of the NBA calendar as free agency, coaching moves alongside of blockbuster trades and the NBA Draft all collide.

The guys begin by discussing several of the early moves around The Association, from CJ McCollum's decision to return to Atlanta, All-Star guard Trae Young agreeing to re-sign out in Washington on a max extension and Oklahoma City continuing to add future draft capital after dealing Aaron Wiggins to the Hawks.

From there, the conversation turns toward the sidelines as Dusty May departs Michigan to become the new head coach of the Dallas Mavericks while longtime Timberwolves assistant Micah Nori takes over in Portland.

The two also react to the three-team deal involving the Bulls, Timberwolves and Nets that brings Nic Claxton to Chicago before discussing one of the latest marquee summer trades as the Milwaukee Bucks send Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat after 13 seasons with the franchise.

Attention then shifts toward Brooklyn as the 2026 NBA Draft gets underway, as the guys share their thoughts on AJ Dybantsa heading to Washington after being selected No. 1 overall, Darryn Peterson landing in Utah, Cameron Boozer making history going No. 3 to Memphis including the Chicago Bulls selecting Caleb Wilson fourth overall.

Before going onto discuss several of the biggest storylines from the remainder of the lottery, including Keaton Wagler becoming the first Illinois player selected in the top five since Deron Williams, Morez Johnson Jr. reuniting with a familiar coach out in Dallas and which franchises may have helped themselves the most during the opening night of the draft.

All that and more, including another edition of Pass or Shoot, as The New Twenty Four officially turns the page toward the 2026 offseason.
