'That's all life is – something childish and very natural. Isn't it?'

Published after Mansfield's death in 1923 by her husband, Something Childish and Other Stories contains some of the feminist trailblazer's most renowned works, spanning over a decade of writing.

Written with her trademark psychological insight and emotional nuance, the works within this final collection beautifully showcase Mansfield's evolving style through the decades. Filled with profound meditations on innocence, youth, family tension, the passage of time, loneliness and more, Mansfield never fails to get to the emotional and existential truth of her characters, delicately painting an intimate portrait of the women and children who were at the hands of early twentieth century society. Including stories such as 'The Little Girl', 'The Wind Blows' and 'Something Childish But Very Natural', Mansfield's prose proves even more striking a century later. This audiobook edition is brought to life by Emma Gregory.

Katherine Mansfield (1888 – 1923) was a New Zealand writer and critic. She was an important figurehead of the modernist movement, befriending the likes of Virginia Woolf and D. H. Lawrence amongst others. Her works regularly explored themes such as sexuality, religion and existentialism, and have been translated into twenty-five different languages across the world.
