Good morning. Idaho. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you're met with 33 degrees and a blanket of gray. Classic early March gloom. But here's the twist. High pressure is marching in to flip this gloomy start into something much better. Down in the Treasure Valley, you're climbing to 51 degrees today. Those overcast skies break apart, letting sunshine take over. Northwest winds run 5 to 12 miles an hour — nothing dramatic. Tonight drops to 36 under partly cloudy skies. Eastern Idaho hits 44 degrees, though temperatures ease back to 42 by afternoon. Northwest winds pick up, gusting to 20 miles an hour. Tonight's low lands at 26 degrees with partly cloudy conditions. Northern Idaho starts foggy at 33 degrees this morning. You'll reach 45 today, but rain moves in after 1 P.M. With a 30 percent chance. Tonight brings likely rain with temperatures rising to 42 overnight. Saturday stays cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain and a high near 53. Saturday brings mostly cloudy skies statewide with highs in the low 50s. Sunday turns gorgeous. Sunny skies push the Treasure Valley to 65 degrees — the warmest day of the week. Eastern Idaho hits 54, while Northern Idaho sees rain likely with highs near 53. Monday through Wednesday brings a pattern shift. A Canadian trough drops south, bringing gusty winds and cooler temperatures. Northern Idaho faces snow chances Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low 40s. The Treasure Valley stays mostly dry but breezy, with highs falling from the mid 50s Monday to upper 40s Tuesday. Wednesday warms back up with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.
