Good morning. Montana. I'm Aaron Jolly. That snow you're seeing through your windshield? That's the last gasp of our overnight system. We picked up over an inch statewide, with the Crazies grabbing two inches. Roads are slushy this morning — take it slow. Snow wraps up by mid-morning, clearing north to south. By this afternoon, partly sunny skies take over. Highs push to the upper 40s and around 50 degrees — not bad for early March. Tonight drops to the low 30s under partly cloudy skies. Saturday brings the warmth and the wind. Highs jump into the upper 50s and low 60s across most of Montana. But western foothills see gusts building to 40 miles an hour by evening. Sunday? That's when it gets serious. Sunday's wind event is shaping up to be significant. We're talking 60 to 70 mile an hour gusts along the Rocky Mountain Front. Widespread 40 to 50 mile an hour winds spread east to the I-23 corridor. High Wind Warnings are posted from Saturday morning through Sunday night. If you've got outdoor plans Sunday, secure anything that can blow away. Travel will be rough for high-profile vehicles. Monday brings a cold front with rain and snow showers — snow levels drop to valley floors. Highs cool to the 40s and 50s. Tuesday stays unsettled with snow chances and highs in the low to mid 40s. Wednesday offers a brief break with partly sunny skies and highs climbing back to the upper 40s and low 50s. Another system arrives late Wednesday into Thursday with more rain and snow chances. Secure those trampolines today. Tomorrow's a good day to stay inside. See you tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast See you tomorrow.
