À propos de ce contenu audio
Guilt, shame, and anxiety lurked in the halls of Saint John’s Catholic School during the early ’70s. For nine-year-old Mark Edwards, one emotion towered above the rest: fear. And that fear had a name—Sister Tank Mary. Big, strong, and unforgiving, she ruled the school with unchecked authority.
Mark has been forewarned by his oldest brother, Adam, not to get on the wrong side of Sister Mary, “If you do, you’ll regret it,” Adam cautioned his little brother. Mark does his best to follow the rules and stay out of trouble.
But on a cold February morning, before school, Sister Mary catches Mark doing something she considers a sin. In an instant, the one thing he’s tried so hard to avoid happens—he gets noticed. At Saint John’s, Sister Mary is judge, jury, and executioner. Her mind is made up. Mark must be punished!
Sister Tank Mary is a David versus Goliath story—how a small boy gets knocked down, but refuses to stay down, and ultimately discovers something far more powerful than fear. With the support of his brother and father, Mark finds his way to the one feeling he never expected: redemption.
