In the next 24 hours. Here's the setup for tonight. The Northern Panhandle takes the direct hit. Expect persistent rain with fog rolling in and lows settling near 55 degrees. Some spots could see another half inch of water. Central West Virginia, keep your ears open between 7 and 9 P.M. Thunderstorms are possible during that window. Down south, you catch a break with just a slight chance of showers overnight. Thursday keeps the wet pattern going. The Panhandle stays soggy with rain and fog, highs near 69 degrees. Central areas climb to 78 degrees with rain likely. The south reaches 72 degrees with a chance of afternoon showers. Now here's the headline. Friday and Saturday bring extraordinary warmth. We're talking highs near 81 degrees in central West Virginia. That's roughly 47 degrees above normal for early March. We're flirting with record territory. But Saturday brings a catch.
