If you’re lifting, walking, eating high protein/low carb, and the scale still won’t budge, your metabolism didn’t “break.” Early low-carb drops are mostly water from depleted glycogen. Real fat loss is slower — and strength training inflammation, hormone shifts, and water retention can easily mask progress.
