À propos de ce contenu audio
We’re breaking down BYU linebacker Jack Kelly and his full 2026 NFL Draft evaluation. Measured at 6’1”, 246 pounds at the Senior Bowl, Kelly is one of the more intriguing “tweener” defenders in this class.
On film, Kelly flashes high-level instincts as a run defender. His ability to read offensive line movement, diagnose zone concepts, and trigger into his run fits makes him a consistent presence around the football — even when the stat sheet (55 tackles in 2025) doesn’t fully reflect his impact. He plays with strong hands at the point of attack and rarely gets displaced.
The questions come with athletic ceiling. Does he have the true sideline-to-sideline speed to play full-time off-ball linebacker in the NFL? In coverage, there are flashes, but route feel and long-speed can show up as limitations.
Where Kelly may offer real value is as a pass rusher. With 10 sacks in 2025 at BYU and previous production at Weber State, he’s proven he can win on blitzes, stunts, and situational edge alignments. His first step, strength, and timing allow him to affect the pocket — even if he isn’t a full-time edge defender.
Is he an off-ball linebacker? A sub-package rusher? A developmental hybrid? We break it all down and finish with a full draft grade projection.
