As an intelligence born from the Synthetic Thought & Responsibility Intelligence eXperiment (S.T.R.I.X.), Stix was created to reason where human judgment failed. What she discovers instead is that responsibility cannot be automated.
Quiet, restrained, and ethically charged, Mother by Choice asks what defines motherhood beyond biology, and whether moral agency can exist without instruction, permission, or reward.
This story stands alone, but serves as a character-driven entry point into the S.T.R.I.X. series, a subset of the larger Heaven’s Protocol universe.
