Using biblical truth, psychological insight, and practical tools, this episode walks you through what avoidant attachment is, why it forms, and how it shows up in relationships. Geleta Gigi Parker teaches how to regulate your emotions, stop over-functioning, set healthy boundaries, and discern the difference between patience and permission. This episode also revisits the powerful concept of Let’s Get JADE-d, reminding listeners that you do not have to justify, argue, defend, or over-explain to be heard or valued.


This episode is grounded in Exodus chapter 15, where God declares, “I am the Lord who heals you.” At Faith & Focus, we believe healing is holy. You’ll hear a real-life example of regulated communication, five reflection questions to journal and pray through, a closing prayer, and a Home for the Holidays blessing spoken over you and your home.
