À propos de ce contenu audio
In this episode, we tell the story of Anneli Auer, a woman at the center of one of the most complex and controversial murder cases in Finnish legal history.
In December 2006, her husband Jukka Lahti was found dead in his bed with fatal cut wounds to the neck. Anneli claimed that an unknown intruder entered the home and attacked him. What followed was a legal nightmare lasting years: indictment, conviction to life imprisonment, acquittal, and later even a re-arrest for the same murder.
We examine:
- the night of the crime in Ulvila
- the forensic contradictions
- the dramatic court proceedings
- the role of expert witnesses
- and why this case continues to divide the justice system
A case about guilt and innocence, miscarriages of justice, the rule of law – and how thin the line can be between truth and assumption.
