À propos de ce contenu audio
Derek Shulman joins Eddie Trunk to discuss his new memoir 'Giant Steps: My Improbable Journey From Stage Lights to Executive Heights.' The conversation explores Shulman's unique career path from performing with progressive rock band Gentle Giant to becoming a powerful music executive who signed and developed some of rock's biggest acts. Shulman shares fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about working with Bon Jovi, Pantera, AC/DC, Kingdom Come, and Dan Reed Network. He reveals how his experience as a musician gave him a unique perspective when working with artists and discusses the tension between artistic passion and business demands in the music industry. After that, Dizzy Reed joins Eddie to discuss his latest solo album 'Rock 'N' Roll Chose Me', his second release following 2018's 'Rock 'N Roll Ain't Easy'. Reed shares insights into his songwriting process, musical influences including Deep Purple's Jon Lord, and collaborations with various musicians on the record. He reflects on his journey from playing keyboards at age 10 to joining Guns N' Roses, recent GNR tours across South America, and memorable performances to massive crowds.
